Geoffrey Key was born in Manchester in 1941. In 1958 he trained at the Manchester Regional College of Art .Afterwards he did a Postgraduate scholarship in sculpture. He gained a reputation for his expression of form, light and colour. His work is shown in various private, public and corporate collections including Salford and Manchester Art Galleries, the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong, The Jockey Club Hong Kong, the Societe Roquefort, Chateau de St Ouen and Perrier. Geoffrey Key has shown his working invited exhibitions across Europe. His work is also the subject of a number of Books, including; "Geoffrey Key- Twentieth Century Drawing". Key was awarded the National Diploma of Design and the Diploma of Associate ship of Manchester”
