A superb oak sideboard attributed to Peter Waals (Dutch, 1870-1937).
The central six graduated drawers flanked by two further drawers and cupboards.
Exposed dovetails. Shaped handles.
On stepped supports with exposed joints.
England, circa 1920
Measure: 91 cm high x 137 cm wide x 52 cm deep.

Provenance; Rachael Ward (nee Rothenstein) and Alan Ward, thence by family descent.
Rachael Rothenstein was the daughter of Sir William Rothenstein, and brother to Michael Rothenstein. The family had close connections to the Cotswold School of Artists and commissioned numerous pieces.
